Happy Bank Holiday everyone! Sorry for being MIA for the last few days – I’m pretty sure I missed my weekly post target! As some of you who follow me on instagram might’ve seen, I was on holiday (blog to come soon) so didn’t get a chance to post last Sunday.
Anyway, as always, April has flown by (I feel like I express this sentiment for every month!) – every time I need to write my monthly favourites post, my mind is all over the place but I think i’ve narrowed down the best ones so let’s get started!
1. My first fave has to be a new Mac lipstick that I recently got called ‘Velvet Teddy‘. I think i’m obsessed with this colour – it’s the perfect pinky, nude, brown shade. It’s great for every day use and is quite buildable so you can re-apply to make it look a bit darker if you want to go for a Kylie Jenner look 😛 I also love the fact that it’s matte but not too drying. If you’re looking for a great nude lipstick but you’re a bit nervous of getting the right shade, I would definitely recommend checking this out.2.I love these sunglasses from H&M – I normally steer clear of rounded shapes as they usually don’t suit me but I just couldn’t resist these. I think the oversized style balances my face out so it suits a lot more. I’m also a huge fan of tortoise shell – it just adds a fun feel to any outfit and makes me feel like going on holiday! Similar here and here.
3.Next favourite is this Lush shampoo bar – i’ve actually been using this for ages but recently bought a new bar so thought i’d include this in my favourites – oldie but a goldie. It’s made of all natural products, including cinnamon, which stimulates hair growth. It’s really easy to use and surprisingly lathers up really quickly getting plenty of washes out of it. It’s also great for travelling as it doesn’t count as a liquid. You can buy a case to store it in (as in the below photo) from Lush as well. Love this product!
4. I am completely obsessed with the new off the shoulder top trend – the best spring/summer trend in my opinion! I don’t have one particular favourite as I’ve bought a few and I love all of them! They are available everywhere at the moment and you can easily get tops for under £15 or a lot steeper than that if you so wish! It’s definitely worth trying them on before buying as there are so many different styles and you want to be sure to get the right one. Miss Selfridge has some great options here and here.
5. Ok, so I have to talk about the TV show, The People v O.J. Simpson. The series ended a couple of weeks ago and has left a huge hole in my Monday night TV schedule. I could’ve watched that show go on for ages, it was that good! Considering I knew the outcome of the case, I still can’t get over how much suspense the show built up. It literally had me on the edge – if you’ve not watched this yet, I would highly recommend it.
6. Last favourite of the month is a food product – Almond Butter. It’s a perfect condiment to go with a snack e.g. fruit or ryvita/crackers. I use Meridian but i’m sure there are others available as well. Whole Foods is usually a good place to stock up! So so moreish 😀That’s all from me on the monthly favourites this time around guys- leave me a comment below with your monthly favourites 🙂
