Indian street food at Roti Chai

For my sister’s birthday, we went to Roti Chai – we’ve always loved the traditional Pakistani and Indian chaats and have been eating them since we were kids so this restaurant is great as it has lots of variety and the flavours are brilliant.

Roti Chai has two different restaurants, one that specialises in Indian street food (we went to this one) and the other that serves the more traditionally known Indian dishes like butter chicken. It’s not your typical curry house – though if you want a really authentic atmosphere, you may not like this place as it has a more commercial take with the décor (though I loved this!).

The location is perfect, literally a few minutes walk from busy Oxford street. The street food can easily do as a light snack and, if you feel more hungry, there are plenty of other choices to fill you up to. I loved everything that we ordered (scroll down  for some mouth watering photos), particularly the chilli paneer – all those that can’t take spice, be warned! So, if you want to go somewhere that isn’t your traditional indian, why not try it out yourself? you wont be disappointed 🙂
