Paris has really grown on me over the last few years and has quickly become one of those cities that I wouldn’t mind visiting over and over again. It is an exciting, romantic city with something for everyone. Here are my top 10 things (in no particular order) to do when in town!
1) Explore the artistic area of Montmartre – sit on the steps below the beautiful Sacre Coeur and take in vast city views or walk through the small picturesque streets enjoying a crepe or baguette!2) Relax in one of the many parks of Paris – my favourites have to be the Luxembourg Gardens and the Tuileries.
3) Shop on the Champs Elysees, walking to the Arc de Triomphe (climb it for city views). For some high-end shopping, head to Avenue Montaigne or Gallery Lafayette for a bit of everything.
4) Visit the iconic Eiffel Tower – you can get the best views from the Trocodero or, for a more close-up view, head to Rue de l’Universite.
5) Take in the gothic architecture of Notre Dame Cathedral. Grab a table at one of the many cafes in the area and watch the crowds go by!
6) Explore the Seine through one of the many river cruises on offer.
7) Visit The Louvre and the Museum D’Orsay to check off some iconic art works off your list.
8) Wander the streets of Saint Germaine Des Pres – this area is what most people imagine Paris to look like! Head to Rue de Buci for coffee or food!
9) Try some French food! La Coincedence, La Petit Tour and La Rotonde are favourites! I would also highly recommend Pink Mamma (although it’s Italian!) and Nina Cafe for some delicious tea!
10) Take a day trip to Versailles – I have yet to do this but it’s so happening in my next visit!

Very good. One of mine is missing.
Happy weekend!

Thanks for the suggestions. Going in April with the family and have started to look for ideas of what to do.
